Occurrence records of rust fungi (Pucciniales) in Portugal

This dataset records the occurence of fungi belonging to the order Pucciniales in Portugal. These fungi occur in plants, causing diseases known as rusts. Most Pucciniales species have narrow ranges of host plants. The AssociatedTaxa DwC term name is therefore used to identify the plant species hosting each fungus. Rust fungi can differentiate up to five different spore types, which are representative of the life stage their are in at each moment. The lifeStage DwC term name is therefore used to describe this.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 2,314 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section.
